May I ask what are the names and address of the most popular elementary and high schools in Windsor? Are they all in South Windsor?
I have heard that currently in Windsor the Housing market is not good; also we are not very sure how many years we will live in Windsor
We need to buy a small house in quiet and safe location. Are there any locations you will think is popular and easy to sell in the future?

South Windsor is popular because of school's reputation and high ranking, such as Massey High, Bellwood School, etc. You can check the the detailed school info on the website: http://www.gecdsb.on.ca/

Right now Windsor market is buyer's market, more houses are for sale, but buying is weak. Compared to other major cities, the price is very low and more affordable. For future selling, location, condition of the house and price will affect future selling process.

1. Ranch 即是俗称的平房. Ranch 一般都有地下室. 由于主层在地面上, 一般地下室较深;
2. 不知"different size"你指什么. 如果是Lot Size的话, 就是房子的地皮大小, 例如: 50x110, 前一个数字是地皮的宽度, 后一个是深度; 如果是平方尺面积, 是指房屋的面积 (不包括地下室的面积).
3. 一般公寓式房(Condo)空间受限制, 购买的只是一个单元, 没有地 (Land), 但没有太多维护需要作, 同时需要Condo Fee.

主要的影响因素是两个:
1. 如果只是短期居住或留去问题不确定, 租房还是灵活便宜些, 买卖房都会有费用发生;
2. 买房住的主要成本是贷款利息, 而且利息的支付是在第一个月最高, 随着支付本金的增加而逐月减少的. 以贷款100,000来说, 按6%利率, 每月的供款639.81. 而第一个月的付款中, $493.86 是用来付利息的, 只有$145.95 是用来支付贷款本金的. 所以如果你能支付大部分的购房款, 少贷款或不贷款, 那么贷款利息的成本就省下来了. 这样买房就是个不错的选择. 在若干年后, 买房的款项会通过卖房回收回来, 如果市场好, 应该会有增值, 也就算是投资收益了. 而且, 自己住房的增值部分是免所得税的.
